Second Waiting list-Latest Update

Second waiting list of eligible candidates for admission has already published. Students belong to 751 to 850 in merit list are called for admission in KUET on 2008-09 session.

According to KUET officials, there are some 78 seats vacant for admission. So what subject one can expect if he/she belongs to 751-850. Well, normally you can expect two subjects at this point of time.

1. Civil Engineering.
2. Mechanical engineering.

As all the departments are equal in status, so the traditional hierarchy of subjects is made by students. And therefore it has theoretically very little value. What is important is your interest and enthusiasm about the subject. If someone gets interest in 'History', then that is the best selection for him. No matter how negatively others are thinking about it.

And what about the third waiting list? Hopefully, it will be published after the admission of second waiting list. There will be a few seats vacant for the third waiting list. Number of vacant seats may increase later because of withdrawal of admission of some students. But that won’t be a huge number. May be 1/2 % student will take that option.

http://www.kuet.ac.bd is the official website of khulna university of engineering and technology. but what is the standard of this website. the colours used in this site are disturbing to eyes. moreover, it shows a big picture of a pond of kuet which also increase the load time.

www.kuet.ac.bd is also technically not up to the mark. it uses the old table form(till 1st October, 2008) which was the tradition in mid 90s. why should kuet stay behind by that margin. kuet.ac.bd looks the most ordinary site among all the public university for engineering. and what about private university? well they are far ahead than our kuet.ac.bd . they simply looks like professional sites and that is what they actually are. but our site is still looks like a home made unprofessional site. what about hashem sir(head of CSE). why are you not taking a good step to provide a good looking professional site? you guys can't provide us good internet and now you are also proving unable to provide a good looking website?




kuet is an engineering university and web site development is a part of the curriculum. and if the website of this university looks so ordinary than it obviously makes a bad impression. students of higher secondary get familiar with kuet through the web site first. and if the first impression is so ordinary then... and also the people of foreign country gets familiar with the university through kuet.ac.bd. perhaps we don't care about such thinks or we don't take internet as an important thing(!).

You have seen kuet from ground. but what about satellite. it is 'Google earth' that made it possible. now you can see your dormitory or your home(wherever it may be) on your pc with the help of 'Google earth' and of course internet.

two students from the department of EEE and CSE have once again made kuetians proud. this two students, Dewan H. S. Salehin(Dept. of EEE, Roll: 0503056) nad Monica Gope(Dept. of CSE, Roll: 0407062) have won the prestigious "Cisco Learning Institute Scholarship", worth 1000$ each.
isn't that really great. we call our university one of the leading engineering university. but it seems that very soon we will say that KUET is THE leading engineering university in BANGLADESH.

it is (surprisingly) a rare moment when you find a boy along with a girl walking through the campus or talking with each other.its really can help students to interact but unfortunately this is just seems to be prohibited(not a rule in paper, though).in this day of joy it seems that we have matured a bit and the interaction(which, should be there ,always)in some way, was present.
