Only 10 Seats left or...?

According to the official notice, there are only 10 seats available for the 5th waiting list. But as a normal trend, the actual number of seats is a bit more than that. Students (may be 1-2%) are likely to withdraw their admission and thereby the number of seats vacant may increase a bit. Students keep withdrawing their admission even after the start of class. And that’s when the migration take place.

But the most important thing in this case is reaching the admission center in time. Any delay can be lethal. So this is a point that all the candidates wishing to get admitted in Kuet should bear in mind.

Update- Fourth Waiting List

There are some 30 seats vacant for the fourth waiting list and students holding merit position 951-1050 have been called for admission. The important thing to be noted here is that you have to reach in time in order to get admitted. In this case, any delay to reach the admission center can cause your seat in Kuet.

If there are more seats available after 4th waiting list then more students will be called from the next waiting list.

Orientation of Batch '08

Orientation of batch '08 will take place on the 1st day of march. This will be the inaugural day for the students of '08 batch on this hugely renowned institution. After that the class will start from very next day, i.e. 2nd march.

Fourth Waiting List- Coming Soon..

Students from third waiting list have got admitted, recently. there is yet be published the announcement for the next waiting list. but according to some unofficial source, some 40 students have got admitted this time. so the number of seats remaining is around 15-20.

The list of fourth waiting list will be published on 1st February.

More 53 seats to be filled

Though the official notice suggests that there are more 53 seats are vacant for admission, but the reality is that the actual number of seats is just a bit more than that. This is due to the fact that some students withdraw their admission. but that number would be less as KUET is a very reputed university.


So students from 851-950 in merit position have been called for admission in KUET. Normally, if you belong to this group of students then you will get admitted in Kuet. But your choice of subjects may be limited to 2/3 subjects (CE, ME). Those two or three subjects are not of less importance or negligible. It is only the current trend ( may change in a couple of years) which derives students on other subjects.

The present trend suggests that more students are likely to get admitted from waiting list, this year. Only 25 students got admitted from 751-850. So we can hope that more students will secure their place in kuet from upcoming waiting list(s).

Second Waiting list-Latest Update

Second waiting list of eligible candidates for admission has already published. Students belong to 751 to 850 in merit list are called for admission in KUET on 2008-09 session.

According to KUET officials, there are some 78 seats vacant for admission. So what subject one can expect if he/she belongs to 751-850. Well, normally you can expect two subjects at this point of time.

1. Civil Engineering.
2. Mechanical engineering.

As all the departments are equal in status, so the traditional hierarchy of subjects is made by students. And therefore it has theoretically very little value. What is important is your interest and enthusiasm about the subject. If someone gets interest in 'History', then that is the best selection for him. No matter how negatively others are thinking about it.

And what about the third waiting list? Hopefully, it will be published after the admission of second waiting list. There will be a few seats vacant for the third waiting list. Number of vacant seats may increase later because of withdrawal of admission of some students. But that won’t be a huge number. May be 1/2 % student will take that option.

Kuet waiting list- latest update.

Admission process in kUET has already started and some 260 students have already secured there place in KUET among top 480 students. Though, these are unofficial information, still its found that in almost every year the unofficial stats become the true one, at the end.

According to some officials, All seats in Electrical and Electronics department have already filled. But there are available seats in other discipline. Actually, if you are in the first waiting least, then you will surely find your place in KUET and you might find your favourite subject as well, if you are lucky enough.

if you belong to the second waiting list, then its a bit uncertain, actually. You will probably find a place in kuet but it cant assure you that you will get your favorite subject. You may get that only if the subject is available.
